Miss Elkhart County 2008 Lindsey Roscoe rehearsed her talent presentation during a send-off party at the Christiana Creek Country Club, home of Elks Lodge 425, sponsor of the local pageant. Among the listeners were her grandparents, Jean and Frank Lucas, and neighbor Olivia Kauffman, 11, who captured the moment with her cell phone camera. Lindsey leaves Sunday for the state competition in Zionsville, where she will sing “I Have Nothing” from “The Bodyguard.” The winner will represent Indiana at the national event in Las Vegas.
