1. Eligibility: As of November 10, 2007, the girl must be between the ages of 5 and 12 years to participate in the Princess Program. All participants must currently reside in and/or attend school in Elkhart County. 2. Entry Fee (all ages): Participants are required to pay an entry fee in order to be eligible to participate. As a non-for-profit organization, all proceeds will provide additional program and scholarship funding for the Miss Elkhart County Scholarship Program. Checks can be made payable to the "Miss Elkhart County Scholarship Program" and should be submitted with the paperwork. 3. On-stage Participation: More information coming soon! 4. Paperwork (all ages): A complete application packet (including the Fact Sheet, Contract & Liability Release, Entry Fee, and Photo) will be due in early October. They should be sent to: Melanie Leslie, Program Chair. 5. Other Requirements: All participants and at least one guardian must attend a mandatory orientation prior to the program. Everyone will be expected to be available all day Saturday, November 10, 2007, for rehearsals and the evening on-stage program. Anyone not affiliated with the Miss Elkhart Princess Program will not be allowed to help or contact the girls at any time once the pageant has begun. However, one individual (of the participant's choice) will be allowed backstage during the pageant to help their girl prepare. They will be given a "Princess Pass" during orientation, which will be required to get backstage. 6. Fundraising: The 2008 Miss Elkhart Princesses will be asked to help in the fundraising efforts for the Miss Elkhart County Scholarship Program. This may include participating in parades (smiling and waving), attending the Annual Chicken BBQ fundraiser in the Spring, etc.
